The purpose of the journal is to publish papers featuring developments in the fields of mineral processing, extractive metallurgy and environmental protection. Its wide coverage of research topics includes physical separation methods such as comminution, classification, magnetic and electrostatic separation, gravity concentration, flotation and agglomeration, dewatering and filtration, chemical methods such as pyro-, hydro-, electro- and bio-hydrometallurgy, process control and simulation and all aspects of processing. All aspects of processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, non-metallic minerals, coal, waste treatment and environmental protection in mining, metallurgical and minerals processing industry are covered. Papers accepted will be those of strong interest dealing with research and development in these fields. Reviews of specific subject areas and papers describing developments in operating processing plants and case studies in mineral processing, extractive metallurgy and environmental protection are also actively sought.
